Tennis in the Parks - Learn & Play (Youth)
The tennis program where kids play while they learn! This program is for brand-new, beginner, or returning novice youth players. Led by a USTA-approved coach, we focus on FUN and learning the basics. This program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game more quickly.
6-week Spring Session
May 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6, 13 (Rain date June 20)
Grades 1-2: 12 -1:00pm
Grades 3-5: 1:00-2:00pm
Cost:
Resident: $75
Non-Resident: $85
Each youth participant in their first session will receive an age-appropriate tennis racket and ball included in registration fee.

Coach Scott Barker has been teaching and managing tennis for over 40 years. He is currently the head tennis coach for Norwich University, and holds certifications from the USPTR (United States Professional Tennis Registry) and USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association). Scott has also successfully managed tennis clubs in North Carolina, Florida, and Vermont.
