Mountain Biking Camps with Ridgeline Outdoor Collective in Rochester
Callings all bikers! Come Join us for a week of mountain biking through some Rochester's best trails. The camp will teach the basics of mountain biking, bike maintenance, safety and route finding in a fun and exciting class for the younger crowd. 

We are excited for the Ridgeline Outdoor Collective Ridge Rider Mountain Bike Camp in Rochester!  Campers will be introduced to fundamental elements of effective and efficient mountain biking.  We will learn and practice skills, such as athletic body positions, shifting, braking, climbing (Vermont’s not flat!) and descending.  We will use flat land and static demonstrations, games, and progressive challenges to improve our enjoyment of riding and the wonderful landscape of the Green Mountains.  Daily safety topics will keep us focused on safe practices, and fun and learning with new friends and buddies is our goal!

No previous mountain biking experience required, but we do require that your child knows how to ride a bike and is familiar with handlebar brakes. Riders will be responsible for supplying their own working mountain bike and helmet. We do have a fleet of extra kids bikes, if your child need something to ride please let us know ahead of camp so we can arrange the right size!

 Below you will find the plan for the week of riding in Rochester area. Plan is subject to change with weather and trail conditions.

SCHEDULE
We will be biking at different locations throughout the week, so please see below for drop off/pick up details:

MONDAY
-9am Drop Off at Rochester School
-Half Day Program - 12pm Pick Up at Rochester School 

TUESDAY
-9am Drop Off at North Hollow/Middle Hollow intersection (437 Middle Hollow Rd, Rochester, VT)
-Half Day Program - 12pm Pick Up at Rochester School

WEDNESDAY 
-9am Drop Off at Killington Pico Area Association (2319 US-4, Killington, VT)
-Half Day Program - 12pm Pick Up at Sherburne Trailhead (926-1828 VT-100, Killington, VT)

THURSDAY
-9am Drop Off at Randolph Recreation Ctr (30 Park St, Randolph, VT)
-Half Day Program - 12pm Pick Up at Randolph Recreation Ctr (30 Park St, Randolph, VT)

FRIDAY
-9am Drop Off at North Hollow/Middle Hollow intersection (437 Middle Hollow Rd, Rochester, VT)
-11:45am Closing Ceremony at Rochester School (Parents Welcome)
-Half Day Program - 12pm Pick Up at the Rochester School


DROP OFF & PICK UP
Please drop off at 9am sharp or before.  If you arrive after 9:10am, the bike groups may already be gone. 

INCLEMENT WEATHER
- We will watch the forecasts, and issue a possible cancellation the night before, but will make a final decision by 730am the day of camp.

FOOD & WATER
-Eat a good Breakfast! You'll want to make sure your child is fueled for the day. 
-Please make sure your child drinks plenty of water prior to camp; send your child with a small water bladder or water bottle daily.
-We will provide a simple snack but feel free to send your child with a small add’l snack


BIKE/HELMET
-All participants need a freshly tuned mountain bike and helmet.  If your child does not have a bike, please email Kinley your child’s inseam, height and weight at kinleytener@gmail.com at least a week before the start of camp.  If your child does not have a helmet please email Kinley the measurement of your child’s head circumference.
